Occupational Health

It has been widely reported that the construction industry is aiming to reduce the affects of work-related ill health by 50% by 2009/2010. The affects are significant within the construction industry arising from; manual handling, COSHH, HAVS and most significantly asbestos. Banson Electric has a duty of care to our employees, and of course it makes sound business sense to look after our skilled tradesmen who demonstrate a very high level of professionalism on a daily basis. In order to protect our employees:

Strategy

Banson Electric will raise the profile given to occupational health amongst our Group Companies who will be encouraged to do the same which will in turn increase the awareness of the incidence of work-related ill health.

Banson Electric will continue to raise awareness of the risks from asbestos within our areas of operation and amongst those who work in them.

Banson Electric will encourage the development of improved operating methods and guidance, and where appropriate, training to reduce the effects on the health of individuals caused by noise, vibration and manual handling.
